About us

We—that is, my husband Martin and I, Amy—live near Munich and share our large house with our three children, our Coonies, and our two dogs, Sammy and Borz.

Life with Us

Our Coonies are full-fledged members of the family—they roam freely throughout the house and our cat-proofed garden. The spacious outdoor enclosure adjoins the house directly and is accessible to our cats at any time via a cat flap.

Health & Breeding

At approximately one year of age, all our breeding cats undergo ultrasound screening for HCM (Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy) and PKD (Polycystic Kidney Disease). The HCM screening is repeated at regular intervals. Our breeding goal is to produce healthy, robust Maine Coons that exemplify the breed standard—we occasionally have kittens available for adoption.

Rehoming & Placement

Unfortunately, in the world of breeding, it is not always possible to avoid parting ways with individual animals—particularly when they no longer feel comfortable within the group dynamic. We never make this decision lightly and always strive to meet the specific needs of each individual animal. Finding a loving home where they will be welcomed forever is a matter very close to our hearts for our spayed and neutered cats.

We place our cats exclusively as indoor pets. A secured balcony or garden is, of course, a wonderful bonus. Please also keep in mind: Maine Coons are highly social animals—having a playmate by their side makes them significantly happier.
